Okay, as KoTL (but as yet withouth the actual list), I feel we really need
to sort out this Annifot business.

Generally, I am with the school of thought that says if the first one was
done in March, then the anniversary one should also be done in March.

If anyone is up for it, I am suggesting Sunday 13th.

    Possible plans are:

    Plan A.
Traditional Botafot route, leaving the H & J at 10.30am, ending up at the
ER. The cafe bit at the ER now appears to be a poncey restaurant type
thing, so I am not sure if finishing up with a feed at this venue will be
    viable.

    Plan B.
As above, but rather than stopping at the ER, continuing with the following
    route:
Up the old A40 (Luvverly bendy bits).
At the top (by the Comms tower), turn right onto unclassified road to
    Nettlebed.
At Nettlebed, take A4130 into Henley (luvvery bit of downhill dual
    carriageway at Bix)
At Henley, go left onto A4155 to Marlow (nice, undulating road) via
    Hambleden Lock and Medmenham.
At Marlow, left onto B482 to Stokenchurch (another, fast, nicely undulating
    bit of road).

As for munchies, I am open to suggestions, there are good pubs at Pishill,
Stonor and Lower Assendon, also there are prolly options at Marlow.
Alternatively there is The Peacock at Wheeler End Common, or, (bit of a
detour) The Bull and Butcher at Turville Heath (sits in the valley below the
windmill that was used in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and used to be a meeting
place for the Bentley Owners Club).

Anyway, those are my thoughts, anyone interested in either, or shall I just
    get me coat.

Oh, and having been out for a curry last night with my old MD, I gather that
Demon have been told to cancel my ADSL, so if I go all quiet that is the
reason why, so, paging DNC, can you keep me posted via my temporary mobile
number (I'll text it to ya later).

    If it's stopped snowing.
Nice road, but could be busy on a Sunday afternoon.
    I don't mind - assuming SWMBO doesn't decide there's something else to do I
    should turn up
You can send it my way too if you like

  4. I've told you where to find it.
I wouldn't recommend it. There are far better establishments in the area.

Sounds reasonable to me, and weather permitting, I'll be there.
This route sounds ok to me as long as I wind up somewhere nearish the
M40 to come back. However, "Unclassified roads" and "GSX-R1000" don't
tend to mix too well. How decent a road is this?

If it's the road I think it is, by the Chiltern Sculpture Trail (worth
a visit, if only for weird value), then it may be unclassified but it's
fucking fucking fucking fast and perfectly surfaced.

Bring it on! (But can we stop for food near Marlow, cos that's
practically home for me, and if you want cheap good eats I know
several pubs that do a decent 16oz steak with unlimited chips for
    6 quid!)

    <snip interesting sounding route>

    Don't forget two things;
    1. By the sounds of it some bikes will need to fill up somewhere along
this extended route. BOTAFOT MPGs are *bloody* low! :)

    2. With this being a new, unknown route to a lot of FOTters, best if
you tell people to take it easy over the new section, bins are not fun.

    That's a given
Shouldn't be too bad, as it's still technically winter
I have tentatively arranged a 1 day pass with mine.
Will prolly wait till I get my new permanent phone next week.

    Stout fellow
The extended route ends up a stone's throw from the M40 J5. The
unclassified road is not too bad, 2 cars width. Surface is a bit bumpy but
it only goes on a for a few miles anyway until you hit the A and B roads.

Never heard of the sculpture trail, the road in question goes over the M40
at the top of the cutting, and goes past Christmas Common.
Sounds like a plan, you can be catering manager :)

    Very good point.
There is the Esso at Thame, other than that I am not aware of any others on
    the route until Marlow.
Absolutely. Best I lead through the new bit as I rarely exceed 60mph :)
Heh, everyone will have to wear a fluoro bib and knee guards too.

Has anyone actually binned on the 4011?

I know I have on the 4012 (right at the bloody end) and you (and others)
have gone ditch surfing on the 413...
