  2. I'm only saying that on this side of the pond, when somebody
backs you in a couple of wars and supports your ventures
in the opium business you either show a little gratitude or
    you sleep with the fishes.

Thatcher sucked Reagan's dick for *years*! Isn't that enough gratitude??
(And Major and Bliar just continued, regardless of who was in power over
    there....)

Then again, just the start of that mental image gives me the creeps.....
Eeee-yew! A chewie off of the Thatch has to be one of the things I would
least like to ever be offered....

Do I interpret that as confirming that the Mafia really do control
    *everything*?

  8. Absolutely. Haven't we always been thick as thieves
or in this case, drug lords ?
Thanks for cutting us in or your rackets.

"The new America, born in sin and arrogance, delusional
in Manifest Destiny, bred in overabundant gluttony,
consumerist and materialist, fathered by George W. Bush,
Dick Cheney and the Cabal of Criminality, a country flocked
by sheeple, ignorant and conditioned, indifferent to a world
growing up around it, living delusions of empire and of
omnipotence, building hatred against it and its policies
throughout the planet, slowly dumbing down its citizens,
losing its edge in the sciences and arts, producing a nation
of acquiescent automatons brainwashed to never question
authority and always faithfully follow the crimes of governance."

Uncanny you should say that. I was in the pub a couple of months back
with a mate to meet a couple of female friends we hadn't seen in a
long time. They turn up, along with the new boyfriend of one of them,
    and his mate.

His mate, as it happens, is the chap who bullied me all the way
    through secondary school.

I didn't at first recognise him (he looked very 'rundown'l, I guess
that's what a couple of years for assault will do to you), but as the
night went on (and we're all getting on fine) one of the girls started
calling him by the nickname he'd been known by at school.

I pointed out that I knew him and when we'd been at school he'd
    bullied me.

His comment? "Shit, I wouldn't now, look at the size of you".

Quite a cathartic night and we parted on fairly good terms.

I dunno about ending up in ukrm, but I think it certainly influenced
my decision to get a bike in the first place.

    Ben, Jun 21, 2006
  20. Likewise. Being of slight build, wearing glasses, being bright and from
a religious background all conspired to put the largest possible target
    on my back.

Until my oldest brother decided to take matters into his own hands
(school had done nothing despite repeated requests) and knocked out the
    ringleader with one punch.
You might be onto something there. Bike as a source of personal power?
