It's got good and bad sides. I mean I can't bait him .. those were the
days. I certainly don't miss being insulted by him though but it's not
    like that's a drama..

The only trouble drinking with johno is that after 3 beers you've got to
find another person to drink with!

    Regards,

    Bada
It did give one but I did not state the actual road name.

"Now the road nominated as where the alleged offence took place has both 60
    and 80 klm/h limits"

Problem is the photograph was almost completely blacked out and as far as
anyone could tell from the image it could be an 80 klm/h zone where the
camera shot me doing 84 klm/h..

To quote the second reply you got :

you are already lost because the pic is logged to a camera at a
physical location , you have to prove otherwise >onus of proof is yours.

Not sure how that can be made clearer short of using a larger font.

Yep sounds good .. paint it black, the writing on it in white .. in a
large font .. and then smack the OP over the head with it.

I will explain it slowly for you
    The image prooves 2 things.

1.It was my bike that was clocked at 84 klm/h
    2 Nothing

The "fact" that I was in a 60 zone is merely the word of the cop
Of course the camera was in a "physical location"
Isn't everything out side of the spirit world.
But the image CERTAINLY does not prove, or even indicate where that location
    was.
All we have is what the cop "logged" as the location.
Now you are going to tell me that all speed cameras have a satellite
    connection. dah.
Where's that piece of wood ?

    prove otherwise
as specified under the relevant act
    your point ?
perhaps not but the logged location of the camera places it in the 60k
zone and production of the image indicates you exceeded the cam
detection setting , hence you were speeding
as specified by the relevent act
no need it was looged to a location
    Duh
you're going to sit on it?

  15. My new mobile has a gps and can stick the co-ords on every photo you
take. Can't see why speed cameras can't do it.

Perhaps because they don't have GPS in the speed cameras ?

    JL
I think you meant "can't understand why they haven't implemented that
    in speed cameras yet" ?

  17. "In short, your Honour, I contend that this active-duty, sworn police
    officer is *lying*!"

Yup. Winning strategy for a court appearance right there.

Yup. Everybody knows that no cop has ever lied.
    Ever.

    (if you believe that ......)

In fact you're half right. They don't need it by law part is fine, they
don't actually prove it though - they just assert it, and under
legislation (in NSW and Vic anyway) that's good enough
