Pay the fine. The photo was enhanced to make the license plate clear. If you
want to argue the actual zone then they'll happily bring to court the raw
image which will show it was you, and where you were.

Like I said ...grasping at straws. I have only ever contested three
speeding charges in my like and got off only two. And over the years that's
two against dozens. Hey it's not that I speed a lot. Just done a lot of
miles - then a lot of kilometers.

 

Trouble is that speeding fines have become a seriously big dollar earner
for pretty well all states, and, to facilitate the collection of
revenue, the regs. have been more and more made so that there isn't a
way out.

I suppose you could possibly try the Einfeld business of a mate from
overseas was riding your bike, and that mate has returned O/S, or
possibly died, since the offence, but I don't like your chances.

I certainly take comfort in the fact that, according to my calculations,
I am squillions of dollars ahead, counting the times I haven't been
caught, against the times I have been pinged.
