Well, I've got this angle grinder... and an FZR.

I wonder how nicely they can play together?

   ))

Attacking it with an angle grinder is a good idea, minus the going bang
bit though. I could ebay the plastics, to fund this low tech
    modification I suppose.

Yep, that's the general idea. I haven't seen a rat one of these before,
my aim is to make it as minimal as I can, while still being rideable and
    legal.

    Sounds like a plan.

I bought my first ever angle grinder yesterday (£12 from Halfrauds).

    Angle grinding rocks mightily.

That reminds me, I must buy a cutting disk or three, some black board
paint, wire, and visit a local building merchant for some of those metal
    tie bars.

I'll let you know about that. I haven't decided what I'm going to do
with the exhaust yet. Either 4 individual exhausts, or modify the
existing one, so I don't have to have a proper can on it.

Angle grinders are overrated, inaccurate and clumsy. They have their
uses but generally are to be avoided.

Couldn't agree more, but sometimes you've just got to chop something up,
make a lot of noise and annoy the people next door.

  13. Depends on what you're doing with it. Every tool has its place -
admittedly precision engineering doesn't encompass the use of the AG or
the consaw, but for some things, an AG is utterly wonderful compared to
    hacking away by hand.
