  3. 1. you develop some realistic criteria for choosing a bike.
    2. you look in all the obvious places for a bike. The possibility of
buying Mike's virago (see other post) should NOT be ignored as I expect
the bike to be in very good nick.
    3. you don't bore us to death with endless tales about the search and
purchase process. The last lot of endless threads made you look like a
    clueless idiot.

Nice, is that oldblokes Zephyr in the background?

Why would anyone want to sell a bike after just 83 miles?

Mind you, I just sold a bike after covering 1000 miles, so I suppose some
people must know if they want it or not after just a few miles.

Ah that will be that other David Thomas... I'm new here, my first post this
    one.

    So which textiles then?

****, I'd forgotten how many questions I has asked, still at least you all
get to show off your knowledge.

Mike is the landlord of the Black Horse. Due to the number of guest ales
he has to test for quality control purposes on an ongoing basis, he's
never sufficiently sober to ride it.

He's even had brand new tyres fitted as the originals showed a few
    cracks on the tread edges.

Go on. Buy it. Think of the Brownie points it'll earn you if you get to
    a *OSM meet ;-)

  8. That smartarse replies like that are not funny. They are simply
    tiresome.

Now you might think this is all very funny but you have managed to make
the majority on here (from what I have read over recent weeks) rather
fed up with your inane and pointless prattling. That takes some doing -
then when you really do want some help you will find that you have
exhausted the ukrm reserves of helpfulness and that will be your loss.

Ah. Maybe I should start a new F.S. thread for Mikes XV.

What, you mean I won't get slated so much if I buy it?

Think I might need to test ride one first, does look immaculate though.

How the hell do you lot decide what type of bike to go for... every day I
    want a different bike.

Look at the OP's reasons for selling his CB500.

I don't think your choice of motorcycle has anything to do with the
    responses you manage to get!
Money works well for me. Desire was the other reason.

I had an SV650S as a loan bike recently. I found it surprisingly
comfortable, even though I too prefer an upright riding position.

I'd have prefered more power and better brakes, but then it's only a 650
    twin.

Sort of, I'd like more bikes of different types, but have no intention
of getting rid of the ZRX.
