In my alternate identity of mild mannered music reporter/presenter, it
is actually attracting some very useful traffic - CDs, interviews, gig
invites/reports ... I can count on about 1 CD per week, which doesn't
sound much, but way exceeds the 1 CD per ~6 months from trawling through
the crap the big labels send the station[1]. It's much more focused,
because I can control who I am linked in to, and vice versa, which for
artists means they are more likely to be sending material to someone who
will use it.

Yeah, Myspace tends to be either kids or musos. You only have to look
