    Woops'a'daisy and arse.

Perhaps I could interest Sir in a nice reliable motorcycle which is well
proven to take this sort of abuse...

  4. Fancy a beer or two at the weekend?

I'll be visiting my Nan in Rottingdean on Sunday and have got an hour or
two to kill before going to see my Mum in Burgess Hill.

Indeed I do and, given some oil in the petrol, not an easy engine to
blow up. You can in fact ride it for literally hours at a time and it
will perform just as well at either end of the journey.

I'm starting to worry about this, see he's coming over here soon. How
close to a bike does he have to get before it's going to die?

Wouldn't wrapping a pair of shocks around Timos neck be more beneficial?
(to the surrounding bikes obviously, I know Timos just the perfect
    gentleman)

My roadside skills are a touch limited when faced with the connecting rod
    outside the cases. Unfortunately.

  12. Didn't occur to you to tie the offending con-rods out of the way using
the spring from the side-stand and continue your journey?

    Tchah... Kids today.
    We have to rebuild.

    it.

    eek. :(
    That's the M25 for me ;)

Sped up to see what a flying Fireblade was doing, then I slowed down
sharpish when I saw blue lights in my mirrors.

Unmarked Plod beemer came past me and continued after the Fireblade.

Fair gave me heart a good pumping.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

[1] I can report the fireblade was going very very fast. Flat out
    possibly :)

I used to fly model planes at the glider club, when they were not using
it. Lovely big field, only one house across the road with an owner that
    likes to complain.

Rather like my CG125, minus the oil in the petrol.

A quote from Pip a little while ago. Good advice.[1]

  17. Heh. When my ZZR11 threw a rod, I rode it to the dealers on 3
    cylinders.

Did you not say, just the other day, that you had some starting
problems? And you had only been *told* that Timo was coming over!

    OK.

My old beetle (proper one, with bodywork made out of melted-down german
army surplus bombs, not like those modern things) ran on the front two
    cylinders after the crank broke.
Made less power though (not that it made much with four cylinders).
It was strange to look at though, seeing the dynamo pulley sitting there
unmoving with the engine patently running and making engine noises.
