Oh well, i guess it had to happen sooner or later
didn't it? What it being the 1st New bike i have ever had.

Slipped on oil coming to a halt on Kingsway (Melb) this
morning. Only minor damage. Fairing scratched, broken
Clutch Lever and scratches on Pipe... Got off fairly
lightly i guess.. Bloody sore leg though... No matter
how hard you try one leg can't hold a falling bike up..

Must say a Thank you to the Harley Rider that did a U turn
at the lights and came back to see if all was ok..

(Either that or he wanted bike and wallet) Just Joking. ;-)

    Stay safe all...

Yep. Bad news. I was sideswiped last week. getting better now.
Be thankful it wasn't the FJ, two legs aren't enough to hold them up....!

Yes, agree with you totally. With the way the FJ was held
together a drop like that would have had me picking it up
with a dustpan and broom after it exploded... ;-)

Hope all is well your way...

I guess you have to consider those nylon puck things out the side and
then you know it wont happen again

  8. I dropped my FJ1200 twice with 30 kgs of luggage still on. Both times
trying putting it on the centrestand in the dirt.
I was so pissed off I had no trouble getting it up again.
After having that bike and dropping the 6R a couple of times I nearly
flipped it back over onto the other side from being too gung-ho (sp?).

    Sorry to hear :(
Hope the leg gets better soon.
Yeah, it's a hard dance on one leg having 200kg under your butt which are
    puuuuushing one way only.
With that little damage it might be wise to think about fixing it yourself
and saving on the jump in premiums next year if you claim against insurance.
    cheers

PS ...and what a day it was down here today....bewdiful blue skies and
    sunshine.
Took the little XT250 out for a spin out the back of Mt. Dandy, just for the
    heck of it.
Forgot how much fun a 250 can be :))

Sorry to hear about your argument with gravity, glad it's mainly your
    pride that needs attention.
Try ringing Oggy Knobs, they will probably have crash bungs for your
bike by now, If not, See if they'll do some deal with you by using your bike
as a template, maybe you'll get them for free, I got my Unifilter foam
    airfilter that way.

Ah that sux. Sorry to hear about your fall. I dumped my ZX9R after 6
months with a bit over 5000km on it after some luddite ran up the back of me
and just kept going. $300 later for a new alternator cover and still trying
to save enough $$ for the replacement decals+respray :(

Hope your machine and leg recover quickly :)

You are a quick and intelligent thinker. People like you

for too little. This means you are cheap. Geminis are known for
    committing incest.

    Aido and Dane,

Thanks for the info. Rang Raven Racing today, and of course
the only models they don't have are Kawasaki....

They gave me the number of an engineer in Richmond so
rang him... I can put my bike in as a Guinea Pig to see
if they can make some to suit..

    Thanks again for the info

    Hi Pete,

Thanks for the "Get well soon", most damage seems to be
    to my pride... ;-)

There were a lot of bikes on the road yesterday so it
sounds like a good day was had by many.

The old 250 days, jeez that brings back memories....

Hi Aido, was in there today. The Sales Dood made
a phone call and then informed me that i can get
them to suit any bike as long as it's not a
    Kawasaki......

That sux.... Bit like gravity i guess... ;-)

If you get a chance to get the number that would
    be great...

    Thanks.
