    I can't find the article but BBC London News said at the weekend that
    the Met and all of the home counties police force were conducting a
    blitz against badly ridden motorcycles and scooters. I'd imagine it was
    part of that.

    I expect it'll take 4½ hours to get to work in the morning as I get
    stopped in multiple police checkpoints - suitably timed to help
    travelling times during a tube strike ;-)
