Anyone here have experience modifying mikuni VM carbs to take an AN6
    fitting?

The Mikunis have a 5/16" od hose barb on them. I'm guessing, cut the barb
off flush, then drill and tap the housing for 3/8 npt? Earls makes a 3/8
npt to AN6 adapter, as well as a bunch of other sizes. Might the hose barb
come out with a little heat and a twist?

I've already fitted an MPS petcock with AN6 fittings, and have the braided
hose and AN6 fuel filters and fittings, but haven't quite wanted to start
    hacking
    up these Mikunis yet.

This is for a slightly modified '70 Honda SL350 K0 Motosport - bored out to
362cc, 12:1 compression ratio pistons, ported head, radius cut valve job,
r/d valve springs, megacycle cam weld and grind, 1 1/2" od headers with
    supertrapp silencers.

The AN6 fittings weren't really necesary, but they sure are purty.

    TIA
