We all got together, Saturday March 12th, and we rode around southwest arkansas. There were 5 of us, all Family. I consider my self Lucky that I have a motorcycle Family. We're almost all Honda Bikers, but'ole sonN'Law Keith, had to get him a status quo Harley, brother. <G> Just kidding, more power to him, if ya got the doe, buy moe. He rode his HD, over here from Forney. His, wife Angie, drove her Jeep Cage, with their son.We rode around here about 200 miles, enjoying stopping at the ''mom & pop'' little country stores, and chatting with the friendly Arkansas RedNecks. There were three grandkids riding 2-up, with their Dads. The extraordinary ''winds'' were a problem in the open areas. When we saw a hill ahead, it was nice, breaking the 20-30 mph crosswinds. It was especially, trecherous around LewisVille, Ar., for some reason. The Bikes ahead of me, were leaning into the wind, in order to stay straight, you know, and it looked kinda funny. One of the Riders, had never experienced a ''Windy Ride''. It's not that enjoyable, but part of it.I have rode through the ''gusty winds'' of west tejas, a few times. Leaving Amarillo, once, was an alarming couple of hours of, some bad ass 40mph, or more crosswinds. ----bjay-----
Here in the Texas Panhandle wind is just part of it. If you will ride both directions it helps keep tread wear even. The first time I rode in North West Arkansas with no wind I almost panicked! So thats what riding straight up on a highway is about it!?!?
