Being on dial-up doesn't help. A 40k connection isn't much fun. Also,
I'm not 'working' which is when I used to post here.

It's going fine. Just got back from a walk around the lake looking at
flamingos (me mum's visiting), oh, and a couple of pints on the way
back. About to open a can of Ruddle's County and have a cool off in the
pool. It's a bit hot here. Shouldn't have watched the SBK this morning
though, as it's made me feel a bit depressed about selling my bikes.

You really must pop down for a visit (others reading this might also be
interested). Best before November, as that's when the rain starts. Only
thing is, I wouldn't recommend the trip on a bike in the Summer, unless
you're prepared to ride 600 miles in shorts and t-shirt.

though, as I'm not rich any more and can't afford the charges. I can

Actually, there's a campsite down the road, and 2 reasonable hotels
within walking distance.

And there's 2 more hotels that charge by the hour. Are you reading this
