Well I don't. And the R1 can easily be ridden quite docilely but as I've
mentioned I've identified what could be flaws that would be quite annoying
    after a while of ownership.

Will do. I fancy going to South of France/Spain for week after this job, in
July/August basically. So the track day should come before that, ideally.
I'm trying to find out when I can get out of this chickenshit outfit atm.

I'm in Ireland for a lot of August, so July is good for me too
(assuming Simian puts his 7R back together and sells it to me sometime
    in June).

What, and more to the point how, do you know something that I don't?

    no, I realise that.
seriously, you're not old enough to buy a Fazer thou. What about an
    SV1000S?

Great excuse for being slow, if nothing else.

    Also, they're cheap.

As others have said, why not do what I'm currently doing, and buy a
track bike and something else for commuting/touring on?

Cos I'm thinking about a gixxer thou now. I don't do enough track days to
warrant a bike just for track.

    oh, I don't know anything - but you've got to remember Kenyon's a
northerner - there's no telling what they get up to when they're left
on their own with modern southern conveniences.

neither do I - what's this "warrant" shit?

If I only did stuff that was "warranted" I wouldn't own /any/
    vehicles.

No worries, we never did get around to the bike swap thing when I was
last in France. Something that definitely needs to be rectified on my
    next visit.

Is he? Shouldn't he be cleaning something in our houses or something?

he keeps it well hidden, but he's from somewhere horribly northern.
would you really let a northerner in your house when you weren't in?

    There's always the Habana Custom
Apparently they're in some sort of chapter 11 limbo before being sold to The
    Mob and/or Rotax

Have you sat on one yet?

Completely different bike to the 9R, in a "not a suitable sports
    tourer" way.
