I'm after some switchgear. It's not to replace the aged lego type
switches on the Guzzi, oh no..

    This what it has presently

So to make things simple could anyone suggest likely candidates and which
bikes to get them off. Pref. something common in the breakers.

R/H side ~30mm width with a start and kill switch only
L/H side ~50mm width with lights, horn, flash and indicators (although
    this bit is pretty academic).

    Standard handlebar diameter.

Switch assemblies shouldn't be part of any lever or twist grip assembly
and the switches themselves should be switches rather than earths, IYSWIM.

Preferably something that's visually in keeping with the Guzzi, but not
pre-war and 25 year old temperamental.

    Ideas, pictures?

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, sweller
How do you intend to reconcile these conflicting requirements?

You wouldn't know which BMW model. Any chance you could get some
    measurements and a picture?

On my LMII I'm currently using some later Guzzi stuff - off a Cali III
I think (came from Pete Morecombe the Guzzi breaker in Devon) . This
is the same as fitted my old Targa.

I'm planning to fit a Tommaselli twist grip and have a separate
start/kill switch made by Domino in Italy which is available from
Motorworks for about £30 (ouch!) This also appears in the Stein Dinse
    catalogue for 45€.

I currently have a Tommaselli twist grip and used a cut down version of
the original but saw a custom Guzzi that sort of prompted this quest...

It had a very nice kill/start switch from an 1100 sport which are about
(I think) £50 new. On the L/H bar it had an assembly, again good
looking, from an SP III (£70).

But these aren't exactly cheap, hence the original post. I may try Pete
Morecombe see how much he'll do them for. I also want the small Bosch
    headlamp shell from an EV.

I was going to suggest the same switchgear as used on my Quota - it's
a bit wider and the RH incorporates the twistgrip but you don't have
to use that bit. I asume other late Guzzis use this switchgear. I
think someone ^ up there has already effectively suggested this.

    Haven't checked the wiring, mind.
