Just in case anyone's not picked it up from Porl's various French run
posts and our miscalleneous comments scatterred around, we'll be
having a fest chez nous on July 17th.

Some folk (Champ and Porl at least, plus a.n.other) will be riding
down on the Saturday - I'll prolly meet them partway, or summat, so
anyone else wanting to do so should arrange ferry times etc. with
them. We'll be spending a few more days round and about, but that's
    optional, of course.

The fest itself will include the normal stuff, Beer, BBQ, swimming
pool, possibly some DIY music and maybe even a "catch the plane in the
searchlight beam" competition, depending on which way they're taking
    off from Basel Airport.

All welcome, plenty of camping space, dossing room for quite a few.

As mentioned elsewhere, Easyjet flights to basel available for about
60 notes from liverpool, 100 from Stansted, if anyone just wants to
jet in and join us. Let us know in advance!

OK, I doubt if this'll get many more takers, but don't say you weren't
    invited!

  2. Given I'll be in the UK then, I'll look at the situation a bit later and
maybe get a flight. Just depends on house sales and things. I'll give
you a shout by email if I can make it.

I may yet come, today people have fucked me off so much at work I'm
tempted to leave them to it and **** off whilst all hell breaks loose.

Tomorrow I go in and negotiate for my freedom...

    Do it[1]. YKIMS.
Negotiate? That's the wrong attitude to start from. Just tell them
you'll be away and let them sort it out without you...

[1] Note to Champ & Porl - _how_ early were you planning to leave on
    the Saturday ?

Usually that would be fine. in this case I'm supposed to be covering for
someone that week, plus the person that would usually cover for me is
away... And my boss is on holiday. It's a fucked up week for me and no
    mistake.

But hey, that's part of the challenge..
They can leave before me if they want to, I'll catch up.

Depending on what daytime you'd be arriving, I might be able to, or
anyone else what's around. I'm sure we'd sort something out.

You need to travel out from UK at 14:00, or later - back from France
before 14:00 - AND the trip must last a minimum of 5 days.

I'm up in Chimay, with the others, that weekend, but......

I'm staying on for the following week, along with Lesley (SP) and
we're going to have a wee explore of various bits of France.

If you don't want us to pop by for a coffee, say so, now! ;-)

Otherwise, could you drop me a mail to: frjack <at> dsl <dot> pipex
<dot> com and we'll see what occurs?

Dunno. Champ is in charge of routes. I think we're hoping we get more people
    along.

    Aye, I was just having a brainstorm, like :-}
Unless you fancy meeting up with us somewhere. Not sure exactly where
we're headed yet, but no reason you shouldn't join us. Maybe we'll
have a finale party-ette the next weekend too, if you're around?

I don't discriminate. Poor people are welcome too, although it has to
be said the rooms here are bloody cheap ;-)

I'll be there. You want me to strap any additional crates of Lager or
wine to the Bike on the way?

    Depends where yer headed.

Our plan is to bimble, rather than rack up many miles and SP wants to
do some photography, too. However, If you are in a place one evening
that is near where we decide to go, we could divert and meet up and
hurl abuse at each other. ;-)

We are on the tunnel back at 13:45 on 23rd, so no party... never
    mind!

****, I was hoping you wouldn;t see this. OK, you can come, but you
have to promise a) to hide from Judith, who said the only condition of
me going riding for the week was that you wouldn't be around, and b)
to notice when everyone gets bored and let them carry on their
    conversation without you.
Ta, but I suspect we'll be well enough supplied with proper decent
French lager without resorting to any of your nasty kraut stuff.
Ahhh, now we're talking. Bottom of the garden suit you?

    :)
