    For people in
    Alpine Areas of the Southern Tablelands, ACT and South West Slopes above
    1500 metres, and in Hunter and Mid North Coast districts.

    Issued at 4:20 pm on Saturday 10 June 2006

    Synoptic Situation: 3:00 pm EST Saturday
    Low pressure system to deepen off central parts of coast Sunday morning as
    cold front reaches southern NSW.


    Southerly winds averaging over 65 km/h with peak wind gusts to exceed 90
    km/h, expected to develop in Alpine Areas tonight, and coastal parts of the
    Hunter and far southern Mid North Coast districts during Sunday.

    Blizzard conditions are expected in Alpine Areas of the Southern Tablelands,
    South West Slopes and ACT.

  6. Which all meant that riding home via the Snowy Mountains Hwy (Eastern
    direction) was snowy, lots of bikes headed out that way then turned around
    back towards Tumut. Seen some cars coming though with a good coating of
    snow on them.

    Sat night was wet, some wind, some gust, but nothing serious.

    Good to hear no one was frozen to death Alan.

    Spent the day fitting the 15 inch front wheel to the outfit (newly powder
    coated) new disks and wheel bearings and now with R1100S Brembo callipers,
    boring the master cylinder out to 16 mm to cope.

    It was -5 in the high country where we were at Pineapple flat, we had
    snow at Binderee Hut, and all through the mountains... was a fuckin
    cold weekend campin'..
