I was hoping you'd change numbers a couple of times a day.

Do you have a list of their grumbles available?

    Umm, not really.

I'm struggling with that one tbh. I'll give it some more thought.

    I can't make a weekday, I'll be working. I happen to have 3 or 4 of my
customers there, so I could theoretically go and see them while they are
    at the show.

  10. Fairynuff - sort of assumed you'd be there mingling each day as a
    worky-thing.

Not bloody likely. I sell to the dealers, not the public. The public
    .....ermmm.....smell.

  12. I know - but I thought it was the sort of done thing to pester the ****
out of the dealers while they're busy rooking the public...

I actually quite like a Ally Pally show - rarely buy anything there
unless I spot a bargain[1] but just like the ambience of the place.

    [1] rare.

Not many of the traders are from my area. Those that are already have
huge stocks of my gear to sell, and I took orders today for top-ups as
they've found themselves running short after a hectic weekend.

  16. So it's been busy then? I did wonder based on the tales of doom
surrounding the industry at the moment.

There was a Trade Expo mid January, it's where many dealers go to see
the new ranges and sell-its and buy large amounts of stock for the
coming season. Then you have the dealers who take stands at Ally Pally
to do huge orders for. It would be rude not to try and sell them stuff.

  18. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
    Highland hoteliers do that, too.

Aberdeen hoteliers also heat up the poker preparatory to shoving it up
    the guest's arse.
