    yes, Sat 7th, followed by a curry[1]

    [1] I'd strongly suggest here:

    http://www.jashanrestaurants.co.uk/inner.asp?frm=1038

because it's just about the best indian restaurant[2] I know and it's
close to Ally Pally, though I realise it's location won't be popular.

[2] which is what it is, as opposed to a "curry house".

Prolly no earlier than 12ish. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have
to be away by 6pm, too.

Bear in mind I'm not going into the show - I'll pop across to the Palm
Court bar and TXT you or something - what time would suit best?

If that's the one that the BCB, Wik, Suze and I went to after the one in ..
2002 .. then yes it was very nice.

well, it was the one myself, BCB, Adie and StevenM went to in 2001, so
it's at least a possibility that Paul suggested you went there. Its
right next to Turnpike Lane tube station, if that helps your
    recollection.

That's when Owen's going. Maybe you'll meet up - Owen will definitely
be visiting Loz at the GLF stand. Oi Loz, measure the lanky string
bean for some new jeans, eh? And don't be shy with the inside leg,
he'll love it. Ooh, and show him your helmet, he needs a new one.

well, I'm only 50% committed to the idea of actually going into the
    show.

Let's just say, Palm Court Bar, Ally Pally, 5pm or earlier, and then
at some point off to another bar and then a curry?

    Good-Oh!

For the very weak of direction skills, where is the Palm Court Bar? It
sounds as if it should be in Torquay or Scarborough or some such.

"Ally Pally". Right (literally) next to the main entrance to the Bike
    Show.

To get there, you can go to "Alexandra Palace" mainline station, but
that involves a ****-nasty walk up the hill.

Much better to get to Wood Green tube station, and then catch a W3 bus
(from stop A[1]) up the hill - there's a stop actually called "Palm
Court", but it's fucking obvious where you should get off the bus i.e.
the stop in front of Alexandra Fucking Palace.

If we want to go to the Indian I mentioned the other day[3], we'd get
the W3 back down the hill.

[1] oh shit, I'm sounding like Paul Corfield[2].
[2] I only know this crap, because I took this route on Saturday.
