This is probably true. I resprayed a front wing on my Porsche using
cans & did a bloody excellent job if I say so myself. A whole car,
using a proper gun, is a completely different kettle of octopii I
suspect. Still, no real harm done if I **** it up, other than a few
tenners in wasted paint.

In 1991 I did a full bottom half respray of a Mk1 Granada in Roman
Bronze[1] using cans. It was the best paint job I've ever done, which
was a surprise considering I used three makes of paint because all the
shops I used ran out as I was bought them.
