    Hi,

Does anyone know what size allen key I need (the larger of the two)
to fit a zzr4110d4 front axel nut. I measured it as 23mm which is a
bit of a odd size so I though I'd ask here first. Suggestions for
    possible suppliers also appreciated.

    Thanks

    Jim

It's the same size as the head of a large 3/8 drive spark plug socket,
so I chopped the end off the socket and used that. You can get away with
using the whole socket with a few long extensions through the wheel
spindle, that's what I did til I got pissed off with doing it that way.

Thanks for the tip Lozzo. I think I have a couple of possible spark
plug sockets in a draw somewhere. Seems that to buy an allen socket
(I now think its actually 22mm) would be around £20. Any opinion on
what tyre (front) to fit? I was just going to get a BT 020 which
seems to be bridgestoines current recomendation (preference for
    mileage over performance).

    Cheers

    Jim

If you're anywhere near Northumberland then you can borrow mine.

If you want to buy one then your local, friendly Kawasaki dealer will be
    happy to rip you off.

Avon Azaro 3 AV 45/46 ST are the best I found for a good compromise of
grip and longevity. Plenty of other ukrmers will say the same. Far beter
in the wet than Bridgestones too. Try www.fwr.co.uk for the best prices.
Fit a pair, cos they're cheap enough and will be matched to each other.
They last forever, so you won't really miss the life you had left in the
    old rear tyre.

7000 miles to a rear compared to 4500 on an 020, but still the Avons are
    grippier.
