    Keen? Moi?

    It's been a quiet weekend.

    What's the roll call this year, anyway?

    Make sure you let me know if you decide to wimp out because I don't
    want to take an extra tent over there for **** all.

    21°C and 10% chance of precipitation is not what I'd call "shit".

    Me too, but the beeb are a little less optimistic...

    Friday
    * Heavy Rain Shower
    * Max: 22°C

    Still not exactly the end of the world though, and I usually lean toward
    whatever weather.com says as GFS often seems to be a bit more reliable
    than the Met Office.

    I'm going to work on the basis it's described as a shower, so won't be
    sustained rain. Plus even if it does piss down France is a big enough
    country to justify doing something else for a couple of days instead
    of camping so it won't be a wasted weekend.

    Metcheck use the same GFS data as weather.com, and whilst they're not as
    optimistic, it still looks acceptable:

    If it's decided Chimay is a wash out, I'd keep things simple and just
    go where there isn't rain, which probably means diverting to somewhere
    French.

    I'll be deciding by Wednesday evening, so I can get a refund on the
    hotel booking (24 notice required).

    well, if the forecast remains like that by Wednesday evening, I'll
    probably[1] still be going.

    Just had a new BT016 fitted to the 12R to replace the shagged 014, and
    despite the usual "take it easy for the first 100 miles" bollocks, has
    completely transformed the feedback/cornering feel and has a knock-on
    effect of much improving my confidence in slinging it round bends.
    you're projecting again.

    [1] somewhat suspiciously, given our current in-theory ban on
    uneccesary business travel, my boss is coming to London on Thursday
    for a suspiciously short (30min) one-to-one meeting with me. This
    could finally be my turn to help reduce the London permie headcount.
