Missed that. What was it, a 250F?

Bugger. Was that the Nick Mason car?
    Colour me completely unsurprised.

  4. It did indeed look an absolute hoot. And so *small*.

And no crumple zones, no fuel tanks filled with Explosafe and no seat
belts. They had big cojones in them days, the racers.

  5. I'd agree with everything written *except* this.

I remember a Renault engineer (some truck launch, and a surprising
number of the truckies had worked in F1 at some stage) that whatever you
did to make the cars more computer-free, or less computer-free, and
whatever you did to remove driver aids, or add driver aids, a good
driver would still win (blow-ups and crashes excepted).

In other words, a Fangio or a Schuacher is, and always will be, better
    than the rest.

OK, it might be sheer raw courage, but I'd put my money on skill.

It's certainly been worth watching, if for no other reason than that
cobbler's not winning all the time.
ITYM _especially_ if the teams and drivers don't like it. And the "two
races per engine" rule has really got them focussed on longevity too,
as can be seen by some drivers going easy so they don't knacker the
motor for the next race. Put a bit more thought into the strategy, it
    has.

The cunts who nicked my MTX80 seemed to do ok on that, as I chased them over
    waste ground...

I'd like to thank my friends, my family, and my psychotherapist... and I'd
like to curse TOG, for making me go off and dig out the other numbers I've
accrued over the years, on UKRM, most of which would not be here today, if
    it wasn't for the CG125 (1).

    (1) I did my CBT on one, you see...
