That 'incident' was merely a misunderstanding and not an attempt to
start a war with the local children.

What are the chances of them being back this year? I wonder if Daddy
will let them use his barbecue again...

Not if it's a small tent because we can 'reserve' a bit of space by
spacing the bikes out a bit more than normal and then moving them when
    you arrive.

There'll be plenty of other places to camp but there's no guaranteeing
    where it'll be.

I checked my holiday dates were all booked and ok with the boss the
other day, apparently I booked Thursday off as well but I'd
forgotten... D'oh. I'll give P+O a call to see if they can get me on a
Thursday afternoon ferry instead and I'll kip down at a cheapie hotel
over the water for the evening.

There's a formula1 just round the corner from the Ibis that most of us
    will be in.

I genuinely don't understand why you'd want to save only 25 euros or
so to stay in a fucking formula1 rather than the Ibis. I mean, the
Ibis is hardly the lap of luxury, but it's a fucksight better than an
    f1, and also - crucially - has a bar.

Personally I'm in the Ibis for the reasons you state @ €73 inc
    breakfast.

Lozzo was after cheap tho, and proving your numbers wrong the F1 is
less than half that at €32.

    numbers shmumbers.

I'm in the Ibis for 65 euros (sans breakfast, mind - I'm intending to
be on a largely liquid diet all weekend to avoid the need to take a
shit in a plastic box), and when I just looked at the F1 link you
    provided, they wanted 41.

Drop a couple of imodium on the first day, then one each morning until
the day you want to start shitting again... Then "bombs away" at the
    bakery in town...

We stopped at the hotel next to the Ibis last year because the Ibis
was fully booked and though it was decent enough accommodation the
lack of a bar meant we had to traipse off and try and persuade a
different bar to sell us some bottles to take away.

If I had to stop at the formula 1 I'd get an earlier train and get
some miles in before stopping because I can't be arsed with stopping
in a shit hole to save a couple of quid when I'm on a weekend away.
