I see their travel agency is up and running too. Tried to book
a trip to Tenerife but it wanted me to enter flight numbers -- I thought
that was what I was booking, inter alia!

    Got one.

Only... I think I lent it to someone.

Got one, if I can remember who I lent it to.

Fill with water, apply a tiny drop of washing up liquid.

That'll get your specs. crystal clear.

I've had one for a couple of years. Do my specs in it every few days.

Also great for Katie's jewellery, (metal) watch straps, CDs / DVDs etc.

    BE VERY CAREFUL!

If they're coated lenses the coating might suffer, and if the lenses are
plastic, the plastic surface might be eroded.

My mother was a physioterrorist, and did a lot of experiments with
ultrasound (she was the second person in the country to have the
    facility - 1951, it was).

In the 1960s she was collaborating with the manufacturer in finding a
flexible extension for the sound head so that hollow areas in the
(human) body surface could be treated more easily.

One of her patients was a director of the London Rubber Company, and he
brought boxes of different types of condoms, as well as sheet rubber,
synthetic rubber and plastic film to try. They were filled with water
and secured to the sound head, but the ultrasound ate them all in
minutes flat, creating a suspension of the minute particles as they were
ripped untimely off the inner surface.
