You've not been looking very hard, then. Maplins have had them as
low as 59 quid on and off for a while. I bought a pretty decent one
for £99 from Tchibo a few weeks ago.

My advice as your attorney is to buy a motorcycle
To email me, neal at my domain should work.

What walkie talkie set? The page that I opened doesn't show any. I'm
    considering the thermals though.

That was Lidl , as of yesterday , rather than Aldi. They had more stuff as
    well.
It's also £25 per walkie talkie rather than for a pair so not brilliant VFM.
There was a wired passenger to rider intercom for six quid as well , and
    that seems decent enough quality.

  6. Walkie-talkies on bikes are horrible things. One of the great things
about motorcycling is that it's done in silence, IMHO.

Apart from singing into your helmet, of course, which I suspect is
    something everyone does.

Agreed, but they are useful around the pits at race meetings, which is
why I was looking for them. I would never even think about an intercom
on a bike, I like the lack of people speaking to me when I'm riding.

You can probably buy a satnav for a lot less on eBay. PC World and
Halfords sell they for less too.

My missus screams in hers, but thankfully I don't use an intercom so I heard
    **** all.

I can't be the only person who gives themselves a running commentary in the
    privacy of their helmet?

It looks the same kit that was in Lidl today except Lidl was cheaper. The
kit looked a bit cheap. the helmets looked OK though.

I nipped into Lidl, earlier. On my way through, I had a look at the
full face lid... 1750+/- 50g! FFS! I wouldn't entertain any headgear
that heavy - ever - my vertebrae would implode.

That's the weight of a Lazer Revolution flip up helmet, and I wore it for a
few years including some track days, me is 6" tall... Didn't feel that
    heavy.

Well, you wouldn't have been supporting any of the weight.........
