I can recommend the socks and the pants. Still haven't used the
rainsuit. (My jacket and pants are both water resistant, and the
fairing on my bike keeps me dry at most speeds. I don't know why I
    bought the rainsuit....)

Might try the cover. Anyone know how big it is?

My wife bought one last time they were sold.
It fits her F800ST with room to spare, so I would say it will
comfortably fit most sports bikes, but may not work for a larger tourer
    or cruiser.

Looks like the GPS has a few improvements over its predecessor such as
bluetooth. I hope that it dumped Route66, one of the worst bits of programming
that I've used on any sort of hardware.

If not, I hope that buyers can upgrade it to use Tom Tom Navigator, which, after
a lot of buggerising around, I managed to get mine to run.

I can vouch for the rainsuit.. rain clouds dare not dare gather in
numbers whenever the suit is brought out.

But apart from that, it's a solid bit of kit and has kept things dry
(especially around the nether regions) when the clouds do get a bit
    bold.

Don't buy the cover, it blows off at the merest suggestion of speed.

    I agree; that's $20 or $30 more than I pay on Ebay!

  10. If you have a $10 head, then wear a $10 helmet

My head looks like about three fiddys worth...

    I'm not wasting $10 on a helmet!

I paid $125 for my last helmet because it was the only one in the shop
that was comfortable and was the colour of my bike. But yes, AS1698 is
AS1698, I would have nothing less. Hang on, there is nothing less,
unless you bought your helmet in Bali.

My bicycle helmet (Bell) is not compliant to the Aus standard, but
that was because I bought it before there was an Aus standard. The Aus
standard made it illegal. I still prefer it to the modern shell-less
helmets and, when I first got it, the wife bought me a sticker for it
that is irreplacable, a rat on a bicycle.

People with $10 brains buy $1000 helmets. The safety difference
between a $79 helmet and a $1000 helmet is that one is AS1698
compliant while the other is AS1698 compliant. The $1000 helmet may be
more comfortable, have better airflow, and better fittings, but not
necessarily. The real difference is $921 and the buyer's ego.
