You could ask these people; http://www.mcservicing.com/index1.html

I am not sure off the top of my head if they fit, but they fixed the one
on my Daytona that was "sulking". It couldn't hurt to ask. I'd use them
    again.

I had some alarmery stuff fitted by a Carol Nash Fitter as a part of
my insurance deal. Worth giving them a call to see who they use in
your area? The guy that did mine was self employed and did them when
    asked.

It might well. I can get someone to come fit at work that would be
    ideal, ta.

I've never considered alarms a problem, until I got the 10R with it's
built in factory immobiliser that is. So much less hassle, it doesn't
go off when filling up with petrol, it doesn't throw a fit in high
winds, and yet it still means the bike can't be started without an
encoded key, and the insurers seem ok with it.

  11. I think factory fit ones are probably OK. Aftermarket ones are *all*
    shite. Without exception.[1]

You're lucky if your insco accepts the Kawasaki immobiliser as being
adequate. CN said that if it's not Thatcham approved then it doesn't
count and my underwriters insisted on an alarm.

Biketeam (ERS) happily accepted it and gave me a very favourable price
for fully comp. £360 quid. Which is now the cheapest I've ever paid
for bike insurance and it's the most expensive bike.

That's why I switched from CN , "It is a condition of our insurance that
you have an approved alarm" and by the way we'll sell one to you for
more than the price of the insurance. Not only that, the "discount" is
bugger all and it would take about 6 years to recover the cost of
    putting the alarm on.

If it's a brand new model it's unlikely to have been approved by
Thatcham and it probably isn't worth it for the manufacturer to get
approval for a specific sector of the British insurance market.

I'm pretty sure that four years on the Honda HISS is probably still not
approved by Thatcham. I just get my insurance from Motorcycle Direct who
seem able to find an insurance company who accept it.

If the quality of testing done on alarms by Thatcham is the same as
their work on chains I wouldn't bother.

'99 was the year HISS was introduced on Hondas, Caz's '99 CBR600FX had
    it.
