Anybody on here listen to Talk Sport in the morning, they spent an hour
discussing motorcyclists. It seems that Alan brazil, who drives an X5 BMW,
is pretty pissed off with us "numpty" motorcyclists who push to the front of
the queue, overtake on the inside, and generally act as though we own the
road. It was a bloody funny show though with several bikers ringing in and
telling him that he's talking out his arse. On the plus side we had Mike
Parry shouting our corner as he thinks he's a biker after owning a Vespa for
    one day.
So c'mon, e-mail the show taking the piss and they'll hopefully read em out
tomorrow, it'll give me summat to laugh at.

It's good in the morning, from 10 - 1, then it goes downhill at a terrific
    rate.

  7. Ditto. And I'll bet he's not even a footballer, probably some
poncy soccer player who wouldn't know which end of a League ball was which!

You'd turn down England vs Argentina, say a world cup quarter final? I'd be
on the edge of my settee with an excited grimace. (Assuming you're English
    that is).

At least you don't have to suffer your favourite team getting beaten once
again, and, the following suicidal tendancies that last around 2 minutes.

Lol, used to get that at leicesters old ground, in the kop. There was an
unfortunate incident about 4 years back where the Leeds fans were being
baited and they struck back with, "you're just a town of pakis". This caused
a fair bit of fervour in the press, alot of things were said, then they came
the following year and sung the same song. The new stadium has sterilised
    the whole atmosphere.

  18. Can I? Thanks... Think. Standing still for nearly 2 hours, watching
22 *vastly* overpaid clowns, many of whom would have difficulty
finding their arses with both hands, kick a ball around a field in an
attempt to knock it into a net more times than the opposing team, or
dive to the ground in a less than honourable attempt to gain unfair
advantage. They make little or no contribution to the rich tapestry
of human culture outside their game. Many of your fellow spectators
have chosen their allegiance simply from whoever was on top of the
table one week at primary school, others because of geography, perhaps
some brainwashed as children by fathers, older brothers or uncles.
And the less said about the MRM and MSG "pies" the better.

Compared to the exhilaration of motorcycling, the joy of slicing
through a series of bends at your chosen speed; the schadenfreude of
overtaking, the risk taken and won - the unity of rider and machine,
more so than any non-motorcyclist can appreciate, or perhaps even
understand - all in all a truly immersive participatory experience,
the feeling of life being lived, not merely watched from the
sidelines. Even the feeling after a crash, that you're still alive to
do it again, and knowing that you - that I - will. How can there be
    any contest?
