AJS valuation

    I have been offered a very original 1957 AJS 18S 500cc single. It has been
    in the same ownership for 30+ years and has it's original registration . It
    has not been used for 5 years though since the owner dropped it on a
    roundabout when he slid off on some diesel, this left the silencer scraped.
    Also there is surface corrosion to all brightwork, the centre stand is
    snapped and the coils and dynamo need rewinding. It comes with some
    engine/geerbox spares.
    All feedback appreciated and all the best to the group for the festive
    season.

    Alan was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
    Probably not a lot, TBH - the work required to refurbish just the
    brightwork (chrome and paint) is unfortunately about the most
    expensive work you can have done on a bike.
