In the many boxes of BMW spares I bought recently, I've discovered a
brand new, still boxed, set of Halfords air horns. Ever-so-slightly
pikey. Anyone interested in them before they go on Fleabay?

Yes please, can you ship them to Chile ?

I've been hornless since Baton Rouge, getting a bit dodgy in Bolivia :)

When I sold mine for £20 the buyer said "the rear springs are broken!", I
said "no they're not - look in the boot".

Originally I'd planned to weigh it in and crammed the boot solid with broken
up glass from loads of TV CRTs to make up the weight.

I was just having a cuppa before driving it to where I had a welder to weld
the boot shut on the way to the scrappie when the buyer showed up.

  16. The Avenger was designed from the ground up as a fleet car and a direct
competitor to the Escort. As such it was a quite competent motah.
Full of well thought out design which made it a doddle to service and
swap major parts in and out quickly.
The plastic interior and rustproofing was rubbish though, but so was
    everyone else's.

The engine was so tiny you could stand next to it in the engine bay while
    working on it.

Build quality was so bad they made the Marina appear to have been built

My 1st car was like that - a Capri with a 1300cc engine. It was a mk1 with
the bonnet bulge which amused me considering the weedy engine underneath.

    Quite possibly.

At least it wasn't the Talbot Horizon I could have got.

I think the shittest car I ever owned was a Mini automatic. Which
wouldn't shift automatically, so I used the 1 & 2 gear locks instead.

I think that's the only auto I ever owned. It ended up written off on
its side in a ditch at the bottom of a long steep hill [1], as it had
    zero engine braking :)

    Paul.

[1] Parbold Hill if anyone local knows it.
