  1. For a mere 777 euros, I have a cool house.

I recommend you all do it. After all, it´s bloody hot out there, isn't it?

Back to the pool. Oh, best finish this Ruddles County first.

    Isn't life shit?

  4. With clothes on, yes. They have some antiquated laws here about riding
naked on the main road. It's probably alright in the village though.
    Where's those keys...?

  5. Well at least now I know my sig-sep works (before I just doctored it).

    Bloody ex-pats.

When I was in Spain last year with Daz, Adie, Abso and Thingy I found that
with the louvres shut and the windows open, with 2 litres of water inside me
and thrown over me I was still sweating and dehydrated the next morning.

    I'm with Gramps Carmichael.

  9. Breeze? It's like a giant hairdryer out there. The pool's at 30 degrees.
    Still refreshing though.

It actually seemed to get warmer through the night in that place. I'm
sure that's against the laws of physics though so perhaps it was
    psychological.

Indeed, I have been mostly pulling in a 70mm steel wire armoured cable into
a client's comms room this weekend for a new UPS, which turned out to be
    DOA.
    Shit doesn't even come close.

So tell me, what refrigerant gas is in your new system?

What you need(ed) is a better-designed house in the first place. In
ours, with the built-in heat-sink known as a cellar, and the windows
open with louvre doors closed (just like what dog suggests) it stays
nice and cool, even when it's 35+ outside.
Terrible, it was. We had two hours of more of rain showers over the
weekend, and there were bits of cloud around for some of the rest of
    the time too.

Restricted our pool & BBQ activities loads, it did. NOT.

It will be, when there's no more atmosphere, and we've all got skin cancer.

  15. Well, it´s currently in the 40s here on the plain. Don´t have a cellar.
Oh, you haven't seen my house - it's wattle and daub. We have the
equivalent of louvre doors on the outside of the windows - we call them
'persianas'. Like slatted blinds. I'm starting to bore myself now. Think
I'll go and wash the patio.

Why would Paul's recent aircon installation cause this?

Obviously you are not a tree hugging, wind kissing, granola eating
soap-dodger, or you'd know the supposed answer already...

He's obvoiously talking from higher moral ground, having[1] the only
pollution-free, carbon neutral R1 in existance.

[1] I assume this is still the case.

No I'm not, but I do know a wee bit about air conditioning.
