Or a Jordan. Or a Minardi. The old V8 version used to go quite well in the Beneton, but then a certain young German driver might of had something to do with that. -- Deevo Geraldton WA, The Nanny State (® Corks) http://members.westnet.com.au/mckenzie
"MOSHIACH" wrote And which Ferrari engine configuration was that? Ford did it with the V8 Cosworth. Ferrari engines have won as many F1 races but with a multitude of engine designs. The Ford Cosworth engine has been the most successful F1 engine of all time. Theo
The DFV won 155 by itself (nothing to do with any of the later motors, HB V8, Zetec V8 or any or the V10s), 59 from the Ferrari engine is a long way short. DFV is actually back in production by an outside company to service the many historic racing teams that still need them. -- Al http://www.users.bigpond.com/pennykid/alan/index.html "The highest form of life in the universe is Man and the lowest is a man who works for the post office." - Holly
Not any more... The Italian Ferrari have just recently [in USA no less] equalled Fords win tally of 176 each in F1 The way Ferrari are winning, the Ford will be well behind soon, together with the slowness of the current teams that use it,Ford will NEVER lead again..... Payback for LeMans,Enzo would be pleased CDIHL
time. Shumacher has won 59 GP's with the Ferrari 050 series 2997cc V10,its the same block and majority of internals are the same since day #1,but like the Cosworth getting constant tweaking... The DFV has not been the same engine all along, you forgot the current V10's and V12's and Turbos CDIHL
Ok,BUT Ferrari have mostly had 2 cars on the grid, how many did where Ford powered? Here down the math for you : Ferrari starts for said wins :1667 --Ford starts for said wins : 5471 CDIHL
