Who'd put their money on the beloved rectifier going kaput 2000km after a service costing Fr. 1600 (about AUD00) where the Swiss monkeys explicity assured me that the rectifier was in tip top shape? Well me, now. And for all the delightful places for this to happen? As I rolled into the border checkpoint between Czech and Germany, just 50km from the Sachsenring. Admittedly that was a much better place for it to happen that deep in the Czech Rep. where I'd been earlier that day. Oh and I didn't end up making it to the race either, though I did at least get to watch it a couple of times complete with German commentary. In Berlin now (sans bike), flying to London Saturday night. So theoretically I can make it to Donnington for Sunday, though at 45 quid and a long drive from London I'm probably going to hold out for the Brands' World SBK the following Sunday. I think the bike has actually been fixed now (thanks to the phone calls of my Swiss friend) so I have the option of swinging past on my way back and doing the Swiss/Austrian alps again. Pissed a lot of money away on the thing so far. Fucking Honda... Give me my Aprilia any day. ;-)
