Who'd put their money on the beloved rectifier going kaput 2000km
after a service costing Fr. 1600 (about AUD$1800) where the Swiss
monkeys explicity assured me that the rectifier was in tip top shape?

    Well me, now.

And for all the delightful places for this to happen? As I rolled
into the border checkpoint between Czech and Germany, just 50km from
the Sachsenring. Admittedly that was a much better place for it to
happen that deep in the Czech Rep. where I'd been earlier that day.

Oh and I didn't end up making it to the race either, though I did at
least get to watch it a couple of times complete with German
    commentary.

In Berlin now (sans bike), flying to London Saturday night. So
theoretically I can make it to Donnington for Sunday, though at 45
quid and a long drive from London I'm probably going to hold out for
the Brands' World SBK the following Sunday.

I think the bike has actually been fixed now (thanks to the phone
calls of my Swiss friend) so I have the option of swinging past on my
way back and doing the Swiss/Austrian alps again. Pissed a lot of
money away on the thing so far.

Fucking Honda... Give me my Aprilia any day. ;-)
