Ah well, so much for Blighty then.

I used to work at a caterer that supplied Monarch (and others) with

  2. I will. I think "correo electrónica" beats "email" though. También,
"puedes" is a little less formal I believe. Of course, I could be talking
complete bollocks, especially considering today has been a farewell type
thing ie; I'm a bit pissed.

  4. Aye. Don't know what the fuckers were thinking of, putting a Glasgow
    airport near Manchester.

Depends on who you're flying with and in which cabin.

I find the food in business class is ok. Economy is questionable and I
    generally skip it.

I've never been in anything but economy (
For any flight less than about four hours, I don't bother either.
Since I've been in the airport for a while, I've generally eaten
and had a couple of pints so I just read or have a bit of a kip.

Well, I've never even *seen* business class.

But seriously - I genuinely enjoy the food served on airplanes about
80% of the time. It usually has quite strong distinct flavours, and
is easy to eat. I know it's accepted wisdom that airline food is
crap, but I've met other people who agree with me.

just for the record, would these "other people" be like yourself as in
they don't actually like food generally?

I don't think most airline (and I really only have a lot of experience
of BA and limited experience of other carriers) food is *bad*, it's just
    kind of characterless and bland.

Afternoon European flights with BA are very pleasant in business since
they serve a nice high tea with scones and everything. Champagne if you
like but I don't (well not in the afternoon when I've got the delights
of the M4 to look forward to; especially not when I've got my attitude
    to drink driving to consider...)

  17. Kate for one likes it, I generally eat some but it's usually only the
tea that I actually want. Airline food is IMO just something handed
out to keep the self-loading cargo from becoming agitated.

Dunno. There was four of us (business people I don't know
particularly well) waiting in the bar at Edinburgh airport for flights
back south, and the conversation turned to airline food, and it turned
out we all liked. Hardly scientific, I know, but still "other
    people".

I liked the food I got when I flew on JAL, but I like sushi, and
noodles, and that kind of thing so went for the japanese menu.
