I made some routes using the Mapa Oficial de Carreteras Interactivo. In brief, possible routes are (from the common point of Montrejeau south of Cahors): - Canfranc-Madrid-Antequera: 71% of distance on highways - Viella-Madrid-Antequera: 69% of distance on highways. - Viella-Andorra de Teruel[1]-Antequera: 17% of distance on highways. [1] Not Andorra la Vella ("Andorra the old one") in the Pyrenees. The three options are in the some 1300kms range, with a variation of about some 50kms between shortest and longest (810-840 miles). Cahors-Andorra takes some 630kms (twisty) and Andorra-Antequera takes 720kms (95% of Spanish highways here). Provided there isn't much civilization for some 100kms south of Andorra (it is actually known as the "Calanda Desert", Kalandahari for friends) I would suggest stopping in Andorra (er, 9 miles aways from Ariño and Meson Domenec). There is a ** hotel in Andorra and a "hostal" in Ariño. Oh, well, there is a hotel 10 miles south in Alcorisa, but AFAIR it rents rooms by hours, only.
