  3. Well, not "my" suit exactly; but several police forces have now seen
the prototypes, the traffic boys have _raved_ about them and so the
forces concerned will commence trials within the next month.

I have one prototype suit in my possession at the moment. Whilst the
jacket just about fits me, the police markings mean I could never try
it out "legally", and the trousers are too short in the leg,
unfortunately. Might fit you, though... ;-)

Several changes and improvements to the features and aesthetics have
been agreed and these will be incorporated into the next wave of
samples that should be reaching these shores anytime now. When they
arrive, I'll email you direct and assuming we can arrange to meet up
fairly pronto, you can take a look before I have to hand them over to
    the aforementioned traffic units.

BTW, I have already put in my order for both debadged and "covert"
versions, but then you knew that, didn't you? ;-)

I wore normal clothes under my HG 2-piece every day for 8 months with no
creasing, I don't see what is so special about an Aerostitch suit. Do
they have a built in Ying Tong's Chinese ironing service that keeps the
creases out of your suit jacket as you ride.

Lots of hype and marketing does not a good product make. Just look at
    Dainese for proof.

Add in shipping and import duty and you're looking at the thick end of
    700 quid.

That's not difficult, but my views on Dainese and A/Stars kit are well
known, to the extent that I only own one piece of A/Stars clothing that
I trust to do it's job properly.....a T-shirt. In fact I only own that
one piece of A/Stars kit and that was a gift from a burd I was seeing. I
don't own any Dainese kit at all, I gave what little I had away because
it wasn't up to the job and I regret wasting my hard earned cash on it.

In my opinion Dainese and A/Stars kit are well overpriced for the
quality of materials used and protection offered by them. All the
independent tests I've seen done have confirmed this.

They don't make false claims, That I agree. However, I'm shocked that
they can justify a 700 quid price tag when they can't keep water out for
more than 45 minutes, it just seems like a total waste of money. When
you factor in shipping and import duty, you are looking at the thick end
of 700 quid, this came from the people I was speaking to at the show.

  8. Precisely what I said above, based on my experience of purchasing a CE
textile suit I had worked on for a client direct from the factory, but
in a non-standard colourscheme of my choice. The ex works price was
very reasonable, but by the time the package reached my door the cost
    had more than doubled!
