Found a place that does cheap(ish) tyres. Got a few choices, but would like
some input on what thoser tyres are meant for. This has probably been
discussed to death on here, but what the hell.

Bike is a Honda VTR Firestorm. Tyres are all 120/70ZR17 and 180/55ZR17

    Choices:

    Metzler -Sportec M-1 £135.00
    PIRELLI -Diablo £135.00
    Dunlop D208 £129.00
    DUNLOP D207 Race Replica £125.00
    Dunlop D207 Standard £120.00
Michelin TX15ITX25 £109.00 (what are these?)
    Michelin Macadam 100 £129.00
    Michelin Macadam 90 £109.00

I know the Macadams are not the correct choice. I don't race, but am getting
faster. So, what is the best choice?

It would only matter if someone fast was riding it. Get the black ones.

....are an all round road tyre so should give good grip and good wear,
they're standard fitment on the old R6, and lasted well when I had some.

Are those the ones you did your spate of tarmac surfing with?

  6. <AONTL> They were the originals on the fazer, take ages to warm up &
in the cold/damp always felt off.

I reckon it would be alright on the Avon Azaro 3's (AV45/46) that Me,
Loz, Ginge and others rave boringly about.

I'd agree, but they're not on his pikey list.

I'm getting so tired of the pointless repetition of this particular
    word.

Maybe ukrm could choose a new 'cool' word? Pretty-please?

Nope, prices are for the set, they don't appear to do singles
    Thanks.

As Ginge points out, Spete doesn't list them. As some people never read
every thread, he's probably never heard of them.

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Lozzo
He's heard of them, but Avon don't do them in yellow.

Azaro 3's made me a bit quicker, I'm not sure I want Spete to buy them.

Every tyre shop I've ever been in has a goodly stock of yellow
crayons, however. Just see the little Dutch boy, sitting
cross-legged, colouring in his tyres ...

No shit. ITYF that they'll have to add fitting, valves, balancing,
    VAT ...

If it is this place (for example):
    http://www.premier-tyres.com/motorbike-tyres.htm

They add 10 quid per order carriage and then VAT. For example.
