advice on good used bike

  1. it's not even around the world. if you look at the vanson leathers
online catalog, there is a good picture of the women's Ladies ACE (LACE)
leather jacket. the model, who is very obviouly female, wearing it has
the jacket open, and the zipper is clearly on the right side. of
course, Brain will argue that Vanson doesn't know what they are doing
and the LACE is a mans's jacket.

It means "shit" when you're riding in Texas.
Sounds like it....either that, or you two don't know how to pick clothes.

I don't know why you're getting all bunched up about it...if you want to
wear women's clothes, that's cool! As long as you're not wearing high-heels
and fishnet stockings while riding next to me, it's all good.

And how long ago did I tell you it was stupid to continue?

You're in Texas trying to convince people that it's okay for you to wear
women's clothes because they do it somewhere in the world.
    What...freakin'...ever!

I'm sure somewhere in the world they do quite a number of things we don't
normally do here...as well as wear women's clothes. If that's your bag, then
    so be it.

Nah, Johnny Moron, I'll just continue to argue that you're a fat lazy nasty
    ass pig.

That's an easy argument to win! I'll never be wrong.

Ah, he OBVIOUSLY doesn't realize that KILTS are
still being worn. Some of us prefer them to
pants...probally due to having big balls and
rather gifted. Be modern wear it right and to hell
with the ignorant trailer trash rabble!
    www.utilikilt.com It's even comfortable on a
    Montana winters day.
Succinct and to the point, he obviously didn't get
it. Next time just club brian with a clue by 4.
But he'll still say you are wrong...ingorant prat.

lol...ooo I bet he whined about that comment. Like
I promised I asked friends who've been there and
ridden there ( Alps tours etc )

Here is just ONE quote. No I'm not going to give
    up his E-Mail...
here is the gist of the mail.

=> For those who've shopped for moto-gear in
    Europe...well okay someone else
=> asked in usenet and I assumed you well traveled
    persons would know the
=> answer to this simple question.
    =>
=> >I think men's jackets produced for the
    European market have the zipper
=> >pulls on the left side. (I don't know whether
    their womens' jackets
=> >have the pulls on the right side, though.)

Yes, maybe, no. Some Euro men "go to the left" (if
you know what I mean) and
some "go to the right" (if you catch my drift).
    Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.

Some European-made men's gear (and clothing in
general) has the zipper pulls on
the left, but not all. I was looking at a couple
of nice Mammut jackets today at
    Outdoor Research in Seattle. The company's Swiss;
one jacket was made in China,
the other in Romania. Both had zipper pulls on the
    left. Wonder why they were
    50% off?

Basically...it just doesn't matter except to
people who are insecure in their sexuality.
    IMO...what do I know? I mean I wear a kilt for
    Buddha's sake!

It's all mind over matter. I don't mind and what
    someone else thinks doesn't matter.

History does not record anywhere at any time a
religion that has any rational basis. Religion is
a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up
to the unknown without help. But, like dandruff,
most people do have a religion and spend time and
money on it and seem to derive considerable
    pleasure from fiddling with it.

It took a ''zipper'' discussion to get this NG group back in the
ratings. I was worried that it was gonna stay calm for a day or two
longer, in here.I checked all my motorcycle jackets, and wheeee, they're all ''right
handed ones'', thank God. Wouldnt it have been pitiful, if I'd been
riding around this little ole Texas town, wearing a ''left handed Gals
Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket''.And ma wifes Jackets are all the other handed ones, you know, the left
ones, the opposite of the right ones.I wonder why they decided to make women, use their left hands, to Zip.
    Don't seem fair.

Okay, (Cheech and Chong mode on) back in the old days...oh, about 20 years
ago, dare was deese vimmen who wouldn't dress demselves. They had deese
little people from the projects who were supposed to go around and dress
these women. The police would make them! Well, one day, one of these little
people decided it was getting too confusing to dress himself, then dress the
women too. So he came up with this idea to make the zippers all facing the
same way. It was such a big hit, all the other little people started doing
it too. The police looked at what was being done with the zippers, so "da
man" made it where all the women who wouldn't get dressed had to wear their
zippers backwards. They even started repressing the women who didn't. Before
long, all the women of the village had to wear their zippers the same way.
Now, this didn't affect the women who lived in the projects since they
always wore clothes and didn't need someone to dress them.

I hope that clears it up! :)

Below Brian, explains the ''folk lore''
version of how it came to past, that women's jakets and coats have
''left side zippers'' and guys zip like they have always done. But,
historically, I think it's been like 50 years ago.BUT, Brian, you are kidding, about you already having Told this, when
you all were really into a ''topsy tervy zipper'' discussion, back a few
    days....Right?
Cuz, I read most of the ''posts'' I thought?
    I did miss 3 or 4.

  16. Brian did postulate earlier that women's zippers in the U.S. were
reversed so that it would be easier for their servents to dress them.
I don't know if I buy it, since by the time zippers achieved any real
popularity (the 1930's), women were pretty much dressing themselves.
Still, it's a theory, and I can't think of a better one. Perhaps
womens' buttons in the U.S. were reversed for the servants' sakes, and
zippers just followed suit in the 30's for tradition's sake?

Yes, but you have it backwards. The reason for the reversed zipper/button
(wardrobe) was from the European handmaidens.
