Steve, you're not getting a bit, well, senile in your old age?

A 125 is really barely adequate for frequent use. I'm not suggesting
you'll want a really powerful machine, but you are very likely to find
that a larger machine is better suited to your needs and more satisfying.

If, however, you really do think that a 125 is all you'll ever need and
this is just a temporary convenience whilst at university you should be
looking for something cheap and reliable: Dragstars and anything of the
sort should be ruled out. Again: CG125, GS125 or maybe an MZ.

If you're at all uncertain, go for something cheap to start with: once
you've ridden a bike for a little while you'll have a far better idea of
    what your long-term needs are.

I owned and operated a CZ 175 in 71/72 in and around Wanstead E11.
Cracking little toy it was. Perfect for throwing round in an urban
environment. And good for 80 if you laid on the tank.

A mate of mine had a scooter that did over 35k miles on the same piston. :)

  9. Miles carried on the back of AA trucks don't count.

All true for other parts of the English isle, but....

Folk round here must be more inbred then, coz something is up with the
    local yoof.

Two 10mm spanners, a hammer, some emery cloth and some copper grease
will fix that[1]. I know, coz my rear brake went crappy on my CG.

[1]New brake shoes too, if needed.
