I've decided the Beemer is going to Cray Engineering for the "Full
Monte". You cab ride it after all of that is done! Shame he has to be
in the middle of nowhere, Sittingbourne. Then again it could be
collected on the way to Chimay.
    Any UKRM's in that vicinity?

Not too far from both Gatwick and Sittingbourne; I could collect and
    store if needs be.

  6. Sittingbourne is near Canterbury. OK, not "very" close, but maybe 40
    minutes' drive.

  7. So it's my fault you got the joke then? Don't quite see how that works
    somehow.....

    Schweet, a plan unfolds!
I shall talk to Cray about a date next week.

    Twin plugs
    Gas flow
    40mm carbs
    Valves cut and replaced
    Compression ratio
    Cam reprofiled
    Reverse cone megs

Be about the same as my 100S cafe racer in the early 80's, they fairly
fly but this will have decent brakes and better cycle parts!

  10. Must be nice to have money and imagination about how to spend it?

Come January, bar the twin plugs, the Guzzi will be in a very similar
    spec.

Oh, there won't be reverse cone megas as it's running open Contis anyway.

It's just a matter of converting assets into cash. Ebay the kids before
they're too old to have a say in the matter. Not only will you make a
cash saving, you also have lower household overheads and can buy
    whatever bikes you want.

    Ignoring the post post editing......

The whole shebang probably won't put me out more than a grand. I paid 2k
for the bike and some 200 since. Not a whole lot of wedge.

It will be a bike worth maybe 2500 at the end of the job, the premium to
get the 100RS BMW might have produced and that I always wanted is
    reasonable.
