Advanced riding course - I blame UKRM

    Had a *really* good day doing the Derbyshire County Council's
    subsidised Bike Plus course which acts as a one day taster for the
    Advanced Skills course.

    I'll resist doing an Antony E and just say the highlights were the
    road from Sparrowpit down into Castleton and being bollocked over the
    radio for *not* racing a Harley away from the lights.

    The report is split into 4 sections, 'key skills', 'bike control',
    'road behaviour' and 'hazard recognition and systematic approach'.

    Each of these sections is broken down into 4 others and then there is
    a summary.

    All the little sections have good or very good next to them apart from
    two - Positioning - had a tendency to stay out too wide on corners but
    improved as the day went on and Speed management - kept creeping over
    the speed limit. Oh and next to 'Attitude' it has 'considerate and
    tolerant' so I don't think that bit can be blamed on you lot. I liked
    the fact it had 'very good' next to Acceleration <g>

    <proud mode>
    The summary reads,
    "very good, very safe, just needs to watch speed limits, very
    confident, very positive."
    </proud mode>

    If it hadn't been for you lot I wouldn't have re sat my test after the
    **** up on the first time. Thanks.

  17. That kid's grandad was a German spy, I reckon. The old scrote said that they
    were his favourites when he was a kid and by my reckoning that would be
    wartime. Werther's are German. Nuff said.
