Here's wishing all the RMR faithful (yes, even you too Mark) a happy,
    safe and prosperous New Year...

Same to you, Tom. Have a good one. I'll be heading to the pub
    shortly... :)

As a last gasp of 2008, and a bad omen for 2009, this was passed to me
    yesterday:

Unfortunately, I think it's indicative of the sort of year 2009 is
likely to be - not enough money to go round.

New Year's eve is mostly amateur night here in the states, so, I'll be
partay'n real close to home, 'sides, waaay too many cops about!
Yeah, I saw somethin' about that and as bad as that is I doubt that'll
be the last shoe to drop. Heh, let's just hope M/C racing in '09
doesn't end up looking like the front patio of a mosque at prayer
    time...

happy new year to team RSB.

may 2009 be prosperous (despite a scary outlook) to all group members,
and may fate protect our health as well as the riders' who entertain
    us.

it's not like kawasaki has been a major force, so maybe it's their
lack of success combined with budget stuff that triggered the
    decision.

it's a shame for the riders, though. i am sure they'll get most of
their $ given the fact they have a valid contract, but nevertheless it
is a tough break, plus it means an even more shallow starting grid.

Happy New Year all, we'll see you on the other side to muse, ruse, and
pontificate on whatever is left of MC racing next year.

    Regards,
