and since it's probably too late for that.. I'd get in contact with the
manufacturer of the item you made the warranty claim on and find out if the
shop did double dip and send them a bill for the labour.

To be honest I'd put Actions lower down on the list of those to avoid
than a number of others (and I suspect Big's list for example would be
    different to mine)

I think however that all would agree that the title of dodgiest bike
shop in Sydney belongs with Frasers/NFI and in Melbourne with Peter
Stevens, there'll be plenty of argument as to the dodginess rankings. I
for one consider Lane Cove SCM to be one of the worst around whereas
their Kogarah store was excellent. Then again it could just be a case of
    personal experiences being unfortunate

Last year on the way back from Phillip Is to Brisbane, my GSX started
making whirring noises from the motor before I got to Sydney.
I ended up getting it checked out by the Lane Cove SCM, Service Dept.
who agreed with me that I ought not continue to Brisbane & run the risk
of doing serious damage to the internals if it got any worse.
Having RACQ Ulta Care membership, I contacted them & the RAC organised
for the bike to be transported back to Bris by a dedicated bike
transport Co. They didn't have a truck coming to Bris till the end of
    the week.
SCM stored the bike until the transport mob picked it up - 4 days or so,
didn't charge me for the storage nor the time taken to check out the
bike. They were ulta friendly & helpfull while I was dealing with them.

I've got nothing but praise for their Service Dept.

And I still haven't got around to shouting them a carton for their help
    - shit, next week!

    Main bearings.
    A bit slack I thought - It'd only done 285,000 klms.

Now I've got to find $1500 to get the crank rebuilt.

I guess even they couldn't find an accurate value to charge for wheeling a
bike out of their workshop and parking it in the rain all day.

Which I think proves my point that with one exception each in Sydney and
Melbourne (who I've never heard a good word about), all the other
"dodgiest/greatest" lists come to down to some very variable experiences.

Staff turnover is also a caaveat, the great staff at shop X could be at
Shop Y 6 months after your great experience (which is what happened at
Northside - a very good workshop manager left and things went down hill
after that). Ditto for sales staff.
