ACPO limits on the rise

    MCN covered this a few weeks back. The article reheats the
    oldarguments, although speed is a factor in 1/4th of accidents now,
    not 1/3rd. Some of the article comments are superb.

    Of course, this has nothing to do with the fact that these courses being
    "offered" are held and run by members of the ACPO and who stand to make a
    fortune at the cost of the exchequer.

    A fine goes to the gov, whereas a payment for the course (up now to 100 quid
    btw) to a private company. Who owns the company? Guess and then try to find
    out which of the forces are still going to fine and ass points. Chances are
    that'll be information "Not handed out to the public".

    'Course, I may just have my cynical head on tonight.
