Went down to the Rockers' Reunion run late yesterday afternoon, met up
with an old friend and his mates from Belgium, had a few beers and looked
at the bikes and the people.

The people were interesting ranging from rockers who looked as if their
council semis would be homages (with emphasis on hom) in kitsch beauty to
The King (uh-hur) and Carl Perkins to fat Harley bad ass stockbroker
types via the HA wannabes and other assorted upside downy heads.

Belgie mate was quite concerned the scooter boys all seemed to be 'right
wing skins'. I'd be more worried about the elderly folk on their cafe
racers and unrequited love for the dubiously kiss curled.

Bikes: "lots" - news said up to 80,000. Although most were on the way
home when I remembered the camera.

Some pictures, which appear to be an unholy union of my new found (but
rapidly waning) interest in scooters and an old lusting for certain pared
    down SOBs:

And there's something about the Moto Guzzi that makes me want to run
out and buy one. It just looks bloody mean. I like.

Sometime around Mon, 12 Sep 2005 22:09:26 +0100, sweller babbled on about:
Is this the lot that went down to Brighton? I was in Eastbourne Sunday
morning and it took me an hour to clear two roundabouts to get on to the
A23 (car and trailer) I have never seen so many bikes in all of my life,
more than any race meeting, at points the whole of the south bound A23
was full of bikes without a car in sight, it was an awsome sight.

The Older Gentleman came up with the following;:
Is the 750SS in your sig like that at all, or is it a Honda 750 Super Sport?

I'm nearly a foot taller with a 34" inside leg (without shoes) and I
think your bike looks... right. I'm not sure what it is, but there's
something of the night about it.

If I owned a similar machine I'd have to have matching black jacket
and probably ditch the full face and buy an open face helmet, black
silk or cotton scalf or buff and then get some goggles.
