  1. Im looking for a bit of a space to park my car and pitch a small tent for
just one night at Cowes. Apparently you have to book for two nights minimum.
I only want to rock up Saturday afternoon - get shitfaced with the Ausmoto
crowd, watch the race on sunday and go home.

Willing to pay for the spot of course. Please let me know if you have a
space available. Need about 3 m X 3m max if I park the car elsewhere.

    Cheers

  3. no syntax error marty - only a fool would chose bike over car when the trip
involves 140km of cop infested itchy trigger fingered revenue raising cunts
with speed cameras and a dead straight three lane boring as **** trip.

I chose cruise control, climate control, power steering, four wheels, a
stereo and airbags..... not a hard choice really... plus I can carry some of
my product should anyone want to view it and if it gets real shitty down at
PI I can sleep in it rather than the tent...... so many positives..

not a syntax error at all

Ditto to that. Sure, it's a tad of a detour, but 140k is hardly
worth warming the engine up for anyway ...

Cowes Caravan park is pretty reasonable.

Goaty and I paid $60 for two people for two nights.

Remember, one attraction of SBK is that you can take your bike into the
track. Makes getting round to Siberia much more pleasant.

    Re: the boring road.
Do you want the two hour tour to PI (via Monash, Macdonald's track,
Loch, Kongwak, Archies Creek and Bass[1])

or the three and a half hour tour to PI. (Western Ring Road to Diamond
creek, then Wattle glen, Yarra Glen, Healesville, Yarra Junction,
Powelltown, Noojee, Hill End, Trafalgar, Mirboo North (collect beer at
Brewery) then Leongatha, Korumburra, Loch, Kongwak, Archies Creek and
    Bass)

    Moike

[1] For those familiar with the road that runs along the ridge from Loch
to Dalyston, there is a new bit[2] that takes you from Archie's Creek to
the Bass Hwy just near the Giant Earthworm. Very tasty.[3]

[2] well, ex-dirt road sealed about six months ago.

[3] The road, not the worm.

  14. Sounds tempting but nope... need to carry some stuff with me, so again the
car wins out. But hey I suppose I could punt it through those hills but then
I have too much respect for motorcycle roads, cars stay off em as far as Im
    concerned.

Gosh; you write "only a fool would chose bike over car when the trip....."
(and then point out that you're happy to make a few bucks selling your
product to said fools) and you're SURPRISED you get called a wanker?!!?
Just how far up your arse IS your head?

oh boy you gotta get out more... the first part of "the other way to Phillip
Island" is most of the way to Mt Baw Baw... then you head south and it just
    keeps getting better.

the rest of us. "Tent, we don't need no fscking tents ..."[1]
