    Is that necessarily a good thing? Your house might last, at a guess, 500
    years. What's the point of having anything longer lasting? It's just
    storing up problems for future generations.

    Of course, maybe the Firestone guys knew something we don't and the
    glaciers will be along in just a couple of centuries...

  2. From my 'investigations' there was talk of banning the use of the stuff
    in England because of the way it hung around. But when the relevant
    government department moved to do this it was pointed out that it wasn't
    just roofers who would use this stuff it was used in numerous other
    applications already. (But quietly)
    Has it suddenly got cold
