Does anyone here, being the FOAK so far, have any experience or, more importantly, suffered with, or know someone who has suffered with Idiopathic Angiodema? It's a very long shot, I know, but I'm trying to find out as much as I can about the condition without spending ages for a web-page to attempt to load... -- Lesley Residing in the Capital of Culture 2008 CBR600FW Peugeot 206 S SBS#11 (with oak-leaf cluster) BOTAFOT#101A UKRMHRC#12 BONY#54P BOB#18
3 members of my family, including me, have suffered this fucking thing[0]. All as a side effect of ACE[1] inhibitors prescribed for high blood pressure. Cunting NICE recommendations opined that the beta blockers I was taking are BAD, very BAD. Take these ACE thingies. They are lovely. Bollocks. For me, the expereience was: I have these symptoms since you prescribed these quack medicines. Give me something else. Job done. However: prior to this, some silly fucker decided to put my mother on the ACE inhibitor programme of making people feel ill. Mum has vascular dementia. She does not report symptoms until they are really bad. So, you have to deal with the severe symptoms, which take months to heal and deal with a concomitant change of medicinal routine. Wonderous. More info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angioedema (your spelling possibly affected the google response) [0] primary symptom seemed to be a swelling of tissue in the throat, followed by a soarness. Very difficult to diagnose, as it seems to be little different to a common infection. [1] oh, the irony.
There's a bit of a thread going on abut the wonderful people at NICE. You should join in. At least you got switched to something else. Not everyone does. Isn't it just? -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
