I'd have been of the view that she was a grown up and perfectly
capable of making it clear to the overly familiar bloke that his
    intentions were not welcome.

But then I'm not a fan of having to be 'rescued' by men.
It shouldn't be about winning or losing but partnership.

Woooah, Starfire, wooooah!!! Easy boy, easy, woah.

    <pats white charger, removes armour>

It seems we're not needed, old friend.

Well, that was exactly my attitude. Which I guess partly explains why
    she's now my ex.
Yes, well, it was just a figure of speech.

Starfire - what sort of name is that for a horse?

You really shouldn't be wearing heavy armour with the state of your
    back you know...
heh. I'll just pop up into the tower and let down my hair shall I?

  8. The above paragraph reveals more about your point of view than anything
you've written so far. That you somehow believe it's the _man's_ place to
prevent other men from chatting up his wife/girlfriend, doesn't seem (to
me) to be all that far removed from the view held by many men of 'don't
    touch what belongs to me'.

Don't. I've only just got out of man hater phase. They can't all
think that just because a woman is friendly she wants to make the
beast with two backs? Can they? Or am I even more naive than I thought
    I was?

    Lady Nina, Nov 26, 2004
  15. they probably all consider them to be the exception, its whether they
do anything about it makes all the difference.

You're crediting male-kind with far too deep a level of thought. Most
of us don't so much 'think' that all women want to shag us, but we all
'hope' they do. And act in such a way as to not rule it out, should
    that hope not be forlorn.
